Poinciana Lodge on Hamilton Island offers an excellent vantage point for families, especially if you enjoy being close to both nature and the beach. Our spacious three-bedroom apartment featured a lovely terrace with captivating sea views, perfect for watching the sun rise with my daughter. The kitchen was well-equipped, allowing us to whip up some meals together, further enhancing our special family holiday. While I appreciated the free airport shuttle, which made our arrival seamless, I did notice that the activities for children seemed limited during our stay, with a couple of planned events, like hair braiding, being cancelled. We were delighted to spot a few shy wallabies frolicking just outside our unit, providing an authentic taste of the local wildlife. Though the decor felt a tad dated, it was an enjoyable stay overall, complemented by the proximity to Hamilton Island Marina and the spacious outdoor pool. Despite minor hiccups, Poinciana Lodge stands out as a family-friendly option, embracing the natural beauty of Australia while providing all the necessary comforts of home. It's a great base for exploring more of the Whitsundays with loved ones!
